We did a bit of everything this sunny week - caving, kayaking, walking, scrambling and coasteering.
We began with a coastal explore near the northern tip of Applecross, exploring three sandstone fault caves on the way. The longest, Uamh an Fhaing Mhòr, extended nearly 100m inland and wasn't known to cavers. No pictures from Saturday when we went underground in Uamh na h-Aiseirigh, but we returned on Monday to to stabilise the new (Yeaster Pot) entrance. In between (i.e. Sunday), Gwen and I had a lovely walk through the woods south of Applecross.
On Tuesday, we went coasteering again, this time along the Shieldaig peninsula, and on Wednesday, we climbed the big obvious angled rake up Meall Gorm, which turned out to be possible.
Back to Shieldaig on Thursday, this time with kayaks, and for our final day, we went caving in Kishorn - getting distracted by a new dig before even reaching the first known cave!
